How much does solar insurance cost?

The cost of solar insurance varies based on factors such as the size of your solar system, location, and coverage options. On average, homeowners can expect to pay $599 for the first 12 months of coverage.

Will the warranty cover removal and replacement of my solar array and wiring if I need to replace my roof?

No, removals and replacement of the solar panel array and components to perform a reroof is not covered by a Solar Insure warranty.

Does the Solar Insure warranty cover the roof damages?

Please contact your roofing contractor for specifics on your roof warranty, as this is outside the scope of the solar warranty. Coverage includes resealing and reflashing penetrations related to the solar installation within 3 inches from the mounting hardware. In the case the installation is faulty and a leak is attributed to your solar installation’s attachment , Solar Insure will work with our dedicated partners to repair the leak at no cost to you.

Property damage or acts of God such as property damage, fire, theft, rodents, and/or hail

Damage to your property or home during installation is typically covered under the contractor’s general liability policy.

Issues with electrical wiring, electrical panels, and/or general electrical workmanship and engineering.
